HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - UPDATE: The Harris County Sheriff's Office said the residents that were evacuated earlier on Monday due to a natural gas leak are free to return home.
Centerpoint Energy officials said a third-party crew was on site and cut a 4-inch main pipe in the ground.
A total of 10 homes were evacuated as a precaution due to the leak.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is on the scene assisting following a natural gas leak.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, authorities responded to Dell Dale Street at Wallisville.
Gonzalez said residents from about five homes have been asked to be evacuated.
