Deputies then started searching the area for the vehicle involved, and they learned about the crash at the intersection of Crosby Freeway service road and Miller Road #1.
Authorities said the crash involved a vehicle that was transporting diesel fuel.
Investigators determined the motorcycle rider, later identified as a white male in his mid 30s, was traveling at a high rate of speed into the intersection as the vehicle transporting diesel fuel was turning into the intersection.
Officials said the motorcycle driver was thrown from the vehicle, and the driver of the diesel fuel vehicle didn't see the motorcyclist and ran over him.
