The flight crew of Delta flight 685 traveling from Atlanta to Port au Prince, Haiti, had to divert their route and land in Daytona Beach after an issue arose with the aircraft's windshield.

It appears that hail cracked the windshield of the plane.

The airbus A320 landed without incident and customers deplaned normally at the gate.

The safety of Delta's customers and crew is always our top priority.

There were 148 customers on board.
