FULL: Update on suspected murder-suicide in Cypress

The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable's Office provides an update on a shooting that left a man and a woman dead at a Cypress home. Authorities say it appears to be a murder-suicide.

A husband and wife are dead after an apparent murder-suicide at a Cypress home, authorities say.

What we know:

The couple was found dead at a home in the 13700 block of Bonaventure Drive, near Trudeau Drive, on Thursday morning.

According to the Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office, a parent of one of the people who died lives next door and went to check on the couple because they hadn’t left that morning yet.

The family member found them dead and called 911, authorities say.

The constable’s office and Cy-Fair EMS responded to the scene. Officials say the couple had gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead.

Authorities say three other people, including at least two children, were in the home but were not harmed.

Homicide and crime scene investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Office have also responded to the scene.

The couple has not been identified.

It’s unclear exactly when the shooting occurred. Authorities say the couple was last seen Wednesday afternoon and were discovered dead around 7 a.m.
