Continuing record warm week:
HOUSTON - This week has been the warmest series of days in early February since 1957. Houston set new record highs on Monday and Tuesday as well as tying the record on Wednesday. Thursday's record high for Houston was 82° in 2019, and we made it up to 83 degrees, which is another record!
Otherwise, once again, watch for fog to persist along the coast with warm, humid air moving over chilly water in the Gulf. More very warm days lie ahead for Friday and Saturday.
Watching weekend weather:
Saturday is looking very warm and humid for this time of the year. Highs could hit the mid 80s along with muggy breezes.
A cold front will get closer on Sunday and models have shown that it could stall, so temperatures will vary with cooler air to the north and muggy conditions to the south.
Monday through Wednesday should progressively rainier which should hold high temperatures close to 70 degrees. Rain chances remain high on Wednesday as temperatures get a little bit cooler falling back to the 60s.
