Due to the effects of the winter storm in southeast Texas, several districts have announced they are canceling in-person classes, some moving to virtual learning, others canceling all sessions

Aldine ISD has announced plans on returning to school:
Monday and Tuesday - All district facilities will be closed. No school or work.
Wednesday - Remote Learning Day. Teachers will teach from home. Campus leadership teams and administrative employees are to report to work.
Thursday and Friday - Remote Learning Day. All staff report to their work sites.
Week of March 1 - Return to normal operations.
Due to winter storm recovery efforts, Alief ISD will be closed Monday, February 22. Maintenance staff have been working non-stop to ensure campuses are safe upon return to school and work. Curbside Meal service will not be served during this time. We will share plans regarding Tuesday’s operations no later than Monday at 2 p.m.
Angleton ISD will not have classes for students on Monday, February 22. Staff will have a workday on Monday and will need to report to work at 9:00 a.m. School will start as normal for both students and staff on Tuesday, February 23.
Due to continued weather-related complications and the availability of water to our buildings, Brenham ISD will conduct all classes remotely on Monday, February 22nd. We will continue to evaluate conditions and adjust the learning instruction method on a day-by-day basis. We will provide updates as they become available to us. Remote learners that are experiencing technical difficulties can call Brenham ISD Technology Support at 979-277-3760 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Teachers can be contacted by email or by calling their extension and leaving a message with a call back number. The district is currently working on providing a meal distribution plan and will release details as soon as they are available.
Due to the water boil notice, Channelview ISD will be closed on Monday, Feb. 22. Tuesday, Feb. 23 will be a staff workday, there will be no classes on Tuesday. Classes resume Wednesday, Feb. 24.
We will be having our curbside meal service on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following locations:

Monday, Feb. 22 will be a staff work day (no student instruction either on-campus or remote). On-campus instruction and CFISD Connect remote learning will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Extracurricular activities resumed Saturday and will continue next week as previously scheduled.
The following is being sent to Dickinson ISD parents now. Highlights are:
· No school for students on Monday, February 22
· Employees return Monday, February 22 for Staff Development Day, which was missed this past Monday.
· Students return back to school on Tuesday, February 23
Fallbrook Academy will be closed on Monday, February 22 and Tuesday, February 23. There will be no remote or in-person classes and teachers/students will have time off for recovery.
Out of an abundance of caution due to the hazardous road conditions and uncertainty in regards to rolling power outages and water pressure/quality concerns across our region, GISD schools will remain closed for the remainder of the week. Be mindful that Monday, February 22, 2021, is a scheduled Professional Development Day for district faculty & staff. Therefore, school will resume for students on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
Hempstead ISD will resume face-to-face and remote learning options for all Pre-K through 12th-grade students on Wednesday, February 24. All students will be required to submit a Return-to-School COVID-19 Screener Form. District-issued Chromebooks and chargers must be returned to their respective campus when students return. School buses will run at scheduled times, and all campuses will offer free breakfast and lunch to students.
Due to the continued impact that our community has endured, HISD schools and offices will remain closed through Tuesday, February 23. There will be no virtual or in-person learning on Monday or Tuesday, and employees will not report to work unless notified by their supervisor. Students will transition to asynchronous virtual learning on Wednesday, February 24 through Friday, February 26. And regular face-to-face instruction will resume on Monday, March 1. All central office staff, principals, and campus-based staff will return to in-person operations on Wednesday, February 24. Teachers have the option to return to campuses OR work remotely on Wednesday Feb. 24. However, teachers should return to work in-person on Thursday, Feb. 25th. In partnership with the Houston Food Bank, we will be assisting our families with food box distributions on Saturday, February 20, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Barnett Stadium; Sunday, February 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NRG; Monday, February 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hattie Mae White; and Wednesday, February 24 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Barnett Stadium.
Due to water advisories that will still be in effect this Monday, Katy ISD campuses will be closed to all students on Monday, February 22. Katy ISD was originally scheduled to reopen schools for in-person and virtual learning on Monday, however, over 40 campuses remain in areas under advisory. The District is expected to have additional information regarding the status of water advisories by Monday morning.
KIPP Texas Schools
Due to the aftermath of storm Uri, including intermittent power, and water outages, all KIPP Texas Schools will be closed for students on Monday, February 22. We will begin offering asynchronous instruction on Tuesday, February 23 and virtual instruction on Wednesday, February 24.
Lee College face-to-face classes are canceled for Monday, February 22. Online classes, LeeStreams and the online portion of hybrid classes will take place as scheduled. Maintenance and custodial staff should report to work on Monday as scheduled to repair damage and clean up after the winter storm. Staff required to maintain public safety and other essential functions should also report to work as scheduled. Student Services and Library Services will be available online. Administrative offices are closed. Computer Labs are closed. All in-person activities and events are canceled.
Lone Star College
Lone Star College will resume normal operations Monday (2.22). This includes online and in-person classes. www.LoneStar.edu/Alert
Magnolia ISD will be closed on Monday.
All Montgomery ISD schools and district offices will resume normal operations on Monday, Feb. 22. In-person instruction will resume on Monday, Feb. 22.
All Pearland ISD schools will be open and return to regular operations Monday, Feb. 22.
San Jacinto College
All classes on Monday, February 22 will be conducted online with a few exceptions. Faculty will contact those excepted students. Employees will report to work as scheduled on Monday, February 22.
We do plan to re-open on Monday, February 22 and we will provide virtual learning only (SMS & SHS: It will be an Odd day). We are hopeful to resume Face-to-Face instruction and learning on Tuesday, February 23. We are taking the city boil water notice, child nutrition schedules and power services all into consideration as we confirm all re-opening plans.
From what we can tell now, our campus did weather the storm well. However, to ensure a safe and thorough evaluation — many of our administration staff will use Monday to assess campus needs before confirming a return to Face-to-Face learning.
For Child Nutrition meals: All services are canceled for Monday, February 22. If F2F resumes on Tuesday, in-person services will resume. We are very optimistic about running all delivery and grab-n-go meal services as normal on Wednesday, February 24.

Texas Southern University
Texas Southern University will reopen with remote-only operations on Monday, February 22 and Tuesday, February 23, 2021. All classes and campus operations will be in virtual mode. Faculty, staff and students are urged to continue monitoring www.tsu.edu and social media channels, including TSU’s campus LiveSafe app for updates.
All Sweeny ISD classes (in-person and virtual) will resume tomorrow, Monday, February 22nd.
Texas Women's University - Houston campus
Texas Woman’s University is cancelling all university-related activity until 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20. This includes university courses (including clinicals), events and student services, including those offered online, for the Denton, Dallas and Houston campuses. No exams or assignments will be required to be turned in until Monday.
Two Dimensions Prep Academy Charter School
Two Dimensions Prep Academy Charter School buildings will be closed the remainder of this week. All classes will be virtual.
University of Houston
All University classes and activities are canceled through Saturday, Feb. 20, including UH at Sugar Land and UH at Katy. Updates will be posted at uh.edu/emergency
University of Houston-Downtown
Due to the continuing widespread power/utilities outages resulting from the ongoing severe weather event, UHD will remain closed for the rest of the week. Classes (including online courses) scheduled for Feb. 18 and 19 are canceled, as well as any weekend classes. The campus also is closed for the rest of the week. UHD will reopen and classes will resume Monday, Feb. 22.
Varnett Public School
The Varnett Public School is still experiencing problems associated with the severe weather this week. The Southwest campus including Pk and kindergarten will have remote learning only on Monday, February 22, 2021. All Southwest students and staff will work remotely. If the problems are resolved, face-to-face and remote learning will return on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. All administrative offices will be open.
Northeast and East campuses will return to face-to-face and remote learning on Monday, February 22, 2021.
All Waller ISD schools and offices will remain closed Friday, Feb. 19 due to continued power outages, unreliable water sources, and other damages caused by the extreme winter weather. There will be NO ONLINE OR ON-CAMPUS learning.

YES Prep Schools
YES Prep Public Schools are extending campus closures through Tues, Feb 23. Online and in-person instruction resumes on Wed, Feb 24.
YES Prep virtual students who signed up to receive meals at home, meal delivery routes will resume on Monday. YES Prep students who attend in-person or who have opted out of meal deliveries will be able to pick up meals at their home campus on Monday between 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
