HOUSTON - A woman was shot during a robbery in north Houston on Tuesday, police say.
What we know:
The shooting was reported at a business strip center on Airline Drive, near Buckboard Drive.
According to Houston police, two suspects in masks held up the store.
The suspects stole jewelry and went out the front door, official said.
Police said a woman, who was armed, got into a shootout with the suspects. She was shot in the leg by the suspects.
The woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
Authorities stated the suspects fled the scene in a suburban, which was later located abandoned in the area.
