UH Student sexually assaulted by suspect
What we know:
According to authorities, just before 6 p.m. Friday, an incident involving a University of Houston student occurred at the Welcome Center Student Parking Garage.
While on the second floor of the garage, officials said, the student was approached by an unknown male who pulled out a knife and forced his way into her vehicle, along with her.
Authorities said the suspect threatened the student with the knife if she attempted to contact the police.
The student was then forcibly sexually assaulted by the suspect, authorities said.
Officials provided a suspect description: a Black male with dark complexion, crew cut hairstyle, heavy build, wearing a black sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.
On Saturday, UH officials announced that a suspect who matches the description was arrested near the scene.
What we don't know:
Due to the ongoing investigation, the suspect's name and any other information will not be released at this time.
