Amber Alert for missing Houston 14-year-old girl

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing Houston girl who was last seen near Marshall Middle School on Monday morning. (NOTE: This report was prior to Marisol Avila being located.)

A 14-year-old girl at the center of an Amber Alert in Houston has been located, authorities say.

According to the updated Amber Alert, Marisol Avila was located on Wednesday morning, roughly two days after she had last been seen.

Authorities did not provide any further details about how or where the girl was located.

According to the alert that was issued Tuesday night, Marisol had last been seen around 9:20 a.m. Monday near Marshall Middle School at 1115 Noble Street.
