Porter shooting: Montgomery County authorities investigating possible murder-suicide on Duester Lane

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is continuing their investigation after two people were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds on Wednesday.

According to authorities, the discovery was made in the 20200 block of Duester Lane in Porter. 

Officials said they received an attempt to locate a blue Chevrolet pickup truck in the area of FM 1314 and State Highway 99 in which witnesses observed a man and a woman physically fighting. 

Deputies with the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Office located the vehicle in the 20200 block of Duester Lane where they also located the bodies of 41-year-old Kevin Doak and 28-year-old Victoria Yates, both with apparent gunshot wounds.

Authorities said preliminary details indicate a possible murder-suicide and there is no threat to the public.

MCSO Major Crimes Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, and the Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and conducted an investigation into the deaths.
