Police searching for 31-year-old man accused of beating the mother of his 4 children while free on bond

"Whenever he hit me, a lot of blood came out, and whenever I went like that my skin was hanging," said Prisca Mendoza.

Her attacker, she says, is Heriberto Morantes, the father of her four children.

BREAKING BOND: MORE REPORTS ON SUSPECTS COMMITTING CRIMES WHILE OUT ON BOND

In April of 2019, he was charged with continuous family violence following an alleged attack on Prisca.

He’s been free from jail on bond and he’s accused of violating the conditions of bond.

He was ordered to wear a GPS monitoring device, but it only prohibited him from returning to the couple's home.

Last Thursday night, Prisca says he kidnapped her from a bar parking lot in her truck.

"I even tried to jump out of the truck like five times, and again he would pull me by my hair and pull me back inside," she said.

MORE CRIME AND PUBLIC SAFETY

Prisca says Morantes drove her around and beat her severely.

"He even told me he was going to kill me," she said. "I just remember waking up in the hospital with nurses and doctors around me."

For her protection, the hospital gave relatives no information.

"All we knew she was somewhere out on the street, picked up by an ambulance," said Gissela Mendoza, Prisca’s sister-in-law. "We didn’t know if she was alive. We didn’t know if she was breathing. We didn’t know anything."

On Tik Tok, Morantes taunted the police.

"He wrote I’m right in front of you guys, like mocking the fact that everyone is looking for him," Mendoza said.

If he gets arrested, Prisca and others worry he’ll just get another bond and be out of jail in no time.

"That’s what I’m most afraid of," said Mendoza."I’m scared that the law will not protect her."
