HOUSTON - Lanes in both directions on U.S. 90 had to shut down after a deadly crash involving a heavy truck Friday morning.
Woman dead after 18-wheeler crash
What we know:
The Houston Police Department report the crash happened around 4:25 am. In the 10100 block of U.S. 90 near Oates Road. All lanes of traffic have been shutdown in both directions.
According to police, a blue Chevrolet Malibu was going eastbound on U.S. 90 while an 18-wheeler was going westbound. The Chevrolet allegedly veered into the westbound lanes and hit the left side of the 18-wheeler.
The woman driver of the Cehvrolet was pronounced dead at the scene, officials report.
Texas Department of Transportation was at the scene to assist.
What we don't know:
The identity of the woman has not been released.
