70 roosters rescued, 4 arrested in illegal gambling ring

Four people were arrested and dozens of roosters were rescued after authorities discovered an illegal gambling ring in Harris County. FOX 26 Reporter Leslie DelasBour has the latest.

An investigation is underway in north Houston after deputies were allegedly called to an active rooster fighting ring in the area.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says deputies responded to a service call on Little York Road near Aldine Westfield Road.

Deputies at the scene allegedly found rooster fights and gambling at the scene.

Rooster fighting ring bust in Houston | Full police report

An investigation is underway after authorities allegedly found a rooster fighting ring on Little York Road in Houston. Detectives provided information at the scene.

Detectives say at least 70 roosters were found at the scene. Some of them were dead, but most were alive.

Four people are said to have been detained. Detectives say the people detained are facing potential charges of animal cruelty and gambling.
