The Brief

    • A man was hit by a vehicle while crossing North Houston Rosslyn Road.
    • The driver left the scene, then came back shortly after.
    • Detectives are investigating.

HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating a deadly crash reported in Houston's Inwood area.

What we know:

The incident was reported just before 4 p.m. on North Houston Rosslyn Road near Woodsman Trail.

Police say a man was crossing on Rosslyn when he was struck by a Toyota Camry.

The driver allegedly fled the scene at first, then came back about 15 minutes later.

Investigators were called to the scene.

What we don't know:

No one involved has been identified at this time. Police only described the victim as an elderly Hispanic man.

It's not clear whether the driver will be facing charges.
