HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A woman is dead, and a man was taken to the hospital after a Tesla crashed into a home in Katy on Friday night, officials said.

What we know:
According to authorities, the crash occurred near the intersection of Rose Hollow Lane and Blooming Park Lane.
Officials said a woman in her 70s was pinned and injured by the vehicle.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the woman was pronounced dead on the scene.
The male driver of the Tesla was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Officials stated the driver of the Tesla said he had the vehicle on autopilot.
What we don't know:
The name of the driver and the victim have not been released.
Their conditions are unknown.
