Former Houston daycare employee accused of endangering child
A now-former daycare employee was arrested for allegedly endangering a child. FOX 26's Leslie DelasBour explains the allegations and spoke to a parent who supports the daycare.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A former Houston-area daycare employee has been charged after she was allegedly seen on video endangering a child, according to court documents.

The backstory:
Beneta Wallace is charged with endangering a child after she was accused of dragging a 3-year-old boy and then throwing him into an office, records state. The incident was allegedly seen by witnesses and caught on video.

Wallace was previously employed at Star Kiddos Daycare and a worker there told FOX 26 Wallace was terminated after the incident.
Wallace has since posted her $10,000 bond.
What's next:
Wallace is expected to next appear in court on Jan. 29.
The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services confirmed that an investigation is underway. Their findings will be turned over to Texas Health and Human Services, which regulates daycares in the state.

What they're saying:
FOX 26 spoke with a parent whose child was in Wallace's class. Samantha English said the allegations against Wallace do not reflect the entire daycare.
"Sometimes, you trust the wrong people. What can you do? As a whole, I love the majority of the people in there," English told FOX 26 outside of Star Kiddos. "I'm very disappointed by that teacher's behavior, but it's not indicative of this place as a whole. "
Wallace is expected to next appear in court on Jan. 29.
