The Houston Police Department investigates a shooting on Vollmer Road.
HOUSTON - Police are investigating a deadly shooting in north Houston on Thursday morning.
Officers responded to the 2800 block of Vollmer Road near TC Jester Blvd around 7 a.m.

According to HPD, a female was found fatally shot in the roadway.
Police say residents in the area reported hearing gunshots around 6:30 a.m., and a motorist later found her in the street.
Authorities are searching for witnesses and surveillance video.
