Dobie High School lockdown lifted

The backstory:

Pasadena ISD sent a statement to parents saying, out of caution, the high school was placed on lockdown after a student said they saw a person with a weapon on campus.

According to Derek Duckett, Director of Emergency Management for Pasadena ISD, they received a call around 7:30 a.m. about the student report. Dobie High School followed protocol and immediately went into lockdown mode.

Authorities got a description of the possible suspect and reviewed security camera footage. The student was located by officials who found no weapon on them after a search.

However, law enforcement continued to sweep the campus out of caution and conducted a classroom-by-classroom sweeps as an extra layer of safety. No weapon had been found.

The lock-down has been lifted as of 12:45 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
