What we know:

The shooting was reported at about 4:30 p.m. on Bedell Bridge Lane off Timber Forest Drive and Valley Lodge Parkway.

According to Captain Buddy Gheen with Harris County Precinct 4, deputies responding to the shooting got a call from a hospital about a shooting victim that had just arrived.

No one involved was at the scene when deputies arrived, but they spoke to residents nearby.

It's believed the suspects and the victim spoke through social media about meeting at the scene to buy a THC vape.

During the meeting, one of the suspects allegedly pulled a gun and demanded merchandise. The suspect and victim got into a struggle over the gun, and a second suspect punched the victim in the face, causing him to lose control of the gun.

The armed suspect then shot the victim before all three left the scene.

The victim allegedly drove himself to the hospital. He was last said to be in serious condition, but it isn't worsening.

What we don't know:

No one involved has been identified. Authorities described everyone involved as Black males in their late teens to early 20s, and the suspects were wearing hoodies at the time.
