Snow overtakes Ocean City, Maryland in time-lapse video as bomb cyclone strikes East Coast

Time-lapse video captured a “bomb cyclone” blasting Ocean City, Maryland with snow overnight and into Thursday morning.

The video captured by oceancitylive.com shows snow building up along the boardwalk and beach outside Hotel Monte Carlo Oceanfront.

Blizzard Warnings were put in place for much of Maryland’s Eastern Shore as the powerful winter storm system made its way along the East Coast.

The storm forced several closings and delays throughout the DC region and states of emergency were declared in Virginia and Maryland.

The heaviest snowfall occurred along the beaches of Virginia and Maryland while winds gusts of up to 45 mph were recorded, creating visibility of less than a mile.
