Houston weather: Dangerous heat continues Monday

The heat advisory continues to hold on Monday because of the dangerous heat we're seeing. Later in the week, we might see some scattered showers.

New week, same heat! Prepare for more temperature highs in the triple digits with the possibility of some scattered showers.

Heat safety today

A Heat Advisory is in effect through 7 p.m. Highs climb near 100° inland, with steamy humidity pushing the feels-like temperature into the 106° to 110° range.

Hot week ahead

The heat holds through the week, with afternoon highs in the upper 90s to near 100°. A few isolated to scattered showers and storms may return during the second half of the week, but the heat will remain the main story.

Tropical update

We’re watching two areas of low pressure in the Atlantic, but there are no systems posing a threat to Texas. Continue to stay prepared because we are approaching the typically busiest part of hurricane season
