Watching for potential tropical development in the Gulf | Tropical Weather Forecast
A weak tropical system over NE Mexico has a higher MEDIUM chance to develop near the Texas Gulf Coast in the NW Gulf. The chance is now 40% over the next 2 days, and up to 50% over the next 7 days. There's even a chance for tropical storm watches and warnings to be issued for parts of the Texas Gulf coast soon. Heavy rain remains the main concern for Southeast Texas. Even without a named system, deep tropical moisture will keep the flood risk higher over the next couple of days. If a tropical system would develop the name would be Authur. Keep checking back for updates, as we are in for some very unsettled weather the next few days!
