Houston-area weather forecast: July 3rd

Showers and storms looking like a pretty good bet for this Fourth of July holiday weekend. If you're hoping to have dry time over the next couple of days, you'll get it but it might be short-lived. Our best chances for rain each day will be in the afternoon. It does appear, as we look toward Sunday evening, there might be a break in the rain for those interested in shooting off some fireworks. Keep in mind though, rain will be around as we keep those chances high even into next week.
