Friday weather forecast
Rain, mainly east and south of Houston, will continue this afternoon as Delta takes aim at the Louisiana coastline. Wind gusts, especially from Galveston Island and points east, could reach tropical storm-force, this afternoon and evening. While a coastal flooding remains, the worst threat for the Texas coastlines is from now until about 6PM where a 1-3 ft storm tide could lead to isolated flooding. Delta will quickly race off to the north after landfall with conditions improving as we head into Saturday.
