Federal prosecutors petition for Attorney General William Barr to step down

More than 2,000 current and former federal prosecutors around the country have signed a petition asking Attorney General WIlliam Barr to resign or be removed from office. This is after Barr asked the federal courts to reduce the recommended sentence of Roger Stone. Stone is a friend of President Trump and political consultant. He was convicted of witness tampering and lying to investigators during the Mueller investigation. When the federal prosecutors in the court recommended Stone serve 9 years on his convictions the president got involved. He tweeted 9 years was way too much. Then Barr recommended the sentence be reduced, contradicting his own prosecutors and upsetting the legal community. Former Federal Prosecutor Phil Hilder also signed the letter and joins Isiah Carey to discuss why.
