Man tried six times for the same crime finally free, for now

Curtis Flowers was convicted of murder 23 years ago. Investigators say he killed four people in a store where he worked. He was convicted three times by nearly all-white juries. Each of those convictions were overturned by the state Supreme Court, because the DA made an effort to keep black people out of the jury pool. In the fourth and fifth trials, juries failed to reach verdicts. In the sixth and most recent trial, Flowers was found guilty and sentenced again. There was another appeal after the prosecutor again tried to stack the jury with white people. The Supreme Court granted Flowers bail, giving him freedom, for now, after 23 years.
