Houston Marks International Holocaust Remembrance Day
Houston marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day with a ceremony at Holocaust Museum Houston. The day commemorates the liberation of Auschwitz and honors the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust. This year’s event focused on The Righteous Among the Nations, honoring non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jews from Nazi persecution. The program included remarks from international diplomats, including Elad Shoshan, Consul General of Israel to the Southwestern United States. Speakers emphasized the ongoing need to confront rising antisemitism and hatred.
