Dia de los Muertos at MECA

There will be multiple celebrations this weekend in observance of Dia de los Muertos. MECA, located in Houston's historic Sixth Ward will have more than 40 "Ofrendas" on display at their location (1900 Kane St.) which will be free and open to the public. These are traditional altars that Mexican families create in their homes to honors their family remembers who have passed away. It is a colorful and historic exhibit that tells the story of the families that make up one of Houston's oldest communities.
