Tropical Weather Forecast - September 10, 2025

Over the last 170 years of data, today, September 10th is the average peak of hurricane season. So, on average, today is the day with the highest likelihood for tropical storms and hurricanes. This year, however, conditions are very quiet in the Atlantic with no named storms or hurricanes for now. As of today, the national hurricane center is monitoring a new tropical wave coming off of the West Coast of Africa. It currently has a low chance for tropical development as it moves towards the west.
