Tropical Weather Forecast - July 7, 2025

Tropical Storm Chantal made the first U.S. landfall of the year on early Sunday morning. Winds were slightly above 40 mph, but flooding was serious in the Raleigh-Durham area. A tornado was also reported around a Raleigh airport. Nothing else urgent is brewing in the tropics as of this evening and models aren't showing threats for Texas over the next several days. The Atlantic hurricane season runs through the end of November.
