TX lawmakers pass bill requiring law enforcement work with ICE
Senate Bill 8 - Legislation mandating that all Texas jails, even those in "bright blue" counties, work closely with Immigration and Customs enforcement to identify undocumented defendants charged with crimes. Some jurisdictions have for years, simply refused to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement, allowing many defendants without permission to be here, to remain here, even after being arrested or convicted.
