Ruben Vargas, 46, was sentenced to 60 years on February 26, 2025, for defrauding over a dozen victims of approximately $690,000 between 2021 and 2022. Convicted of theft and securities fraud, Vargas posed as a successful broker, exploiting victims' trust and Christian faith with false promises of risk-free returns.
