Texas House ends tradition of giving minority party committee chairmanships

As expected, an era of symbolic bi-partisanship has ended at our state capital. I'm referring to the practice by Republican House Speakers granting a handful of committee chairmanships to Democrats, who've been in the minority going on three decades.
