Houston weather: Mostly cloudy, cool evening

Mostly cloudy and cool with temperatures in the middle 40s. A few showers will build in tonight with the best chance to the Southwest of Houston. Scattered, mainly light rain showers are forecasted Wednesday with the best chance south of I-10 near the coast. Thursday will be partly sunny and mainly dry with a 10% rain chance. Temperatures rise to near 70 on Friday ahead of our next cold front. Rain chances are at 30% late Friday into early Saturday with the front sweeping through by Saturday. For the Houston Marathon, temperatures will be cooler, near 40 with highs near 50. It will be breezy also with a northerly breeze of 10-15 mph. Long-range models indicate the chance of another arctic blast early next week which could bring the coldest air so far this season! There could also be some chances for wintry precipitation between Monday and Wednesday! Keep checking back for updates!
