FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast

Overnight a cold front will sweep through the area and end any threat for super thick widespread fog. The cold front should move through without bringing any chance for rain or storms. It will start to feel more like late December with high temperatures in the 60s and overnight lows in the 40s for New Year's Eve. Temperature should be around 50° by midnight Tuesday night as we celebrate the New Year. New Year's Day will stay on the cooler side with highs in the low 60s and overnight lows in the middle 40s. Next disturbance will bring a chance for spotty showers on Thursday, with isolated rain sticking around for Friday and Saturday. A warm front will bring temperatures back to the 70s Sunday with a 50% chance for showers and thunderstorms ahead of our next cold front. Models are hinting that a big pattern change could be in store for next week. Temperatures will get cooler about a week from now on Monday with highs only in the 50s. But much colder air could arrive by the middle of next week around January 8th that could mean our first big freeze of the season...stay tuned!
