Latest drought monitor has Houston now in Severe drought conditions. But our pattern change will mean several chances for rain over the next week. A few showers may linger tonight for trick or treat plans. But overall, we are getting drier as we go through the night. Rain returns Friday and will stick around off and on through the weekend and Election Day on Tuesday. Two disturbances are being monitored in the Caribbean for possible tropical development but are not expected to head towards Houston.
