FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast

Pattern is changing as we get closer to the weekend! Cloudy skies and mild temperatures will prevail tonight with some patchy fog Friday morning. We'll climb to the middle 70s Friday afternoon with spotty light rain possible. Rounds of heavier rain and strong storms will be the setup for Saturday and Sunday. Look for a few rounds of heavy rain Saturday afternoon and evening with another round Sunday PM ahead of a cold front. Flood risk has increased with Houston at a low risk for street flooding on Saturday. Areas NE of Houston are in a higher risk for street flooding this weekend including Shepherd & Livingston. So avoid any flooded areas that may develop. Sunday PM storms will pose a small risk for damaging winds and hail. So stay weather aware this weekend as you enjoy the Super Bowl watch parties and Mardi Gras events. Cooler and drier air returns early next week with pleasant and dry weather in the forecast for Valentine's Day.
