Banned book tour challenges censorship and promotes free access

A national tour showcasing banned books that have been removed from many American school libraries made a significant stop in Houston. The tour, hosted by The New Republic and the American Federation of Teachers, offered the public free access to books that have been banned in several states due to their controversial themes, including systemic racism, sexual or gender identity, and forms of abuse.
