FOX 26 Thursday night weather forecast

We are entering a relatively dry period after several rounds of rain over the last few weeks. That rain has really helped with drought conditions in the area with Houston now downgraded from Extreme to Severe drought. The Woodlands area has been downgraded to moderate drought! I hope you enjoyed the rain because it looks like it may be Thursday of next week before rain is back! Temperatures will take a big swing though over the next few days. Get ready for near record heat Friday as temperatures soar to the 90s. But a cold front arrives by Friday night and that will take us back to the cooler and drier air we hope to feel this time of the year! In fact, pleasant weather should stick around through the middle of next week with cool mornings and mild afternoons. Enjoy!
