FOX 26 Monday evening weather forecast

A high rip current risk remains in place for the beaches through 9 p.m.. Make sure to swim near a lifeguard and away from rocks, jetties, and piers. It will be on the breezy side closer to the coast with gusts near 20 mph this evening but rain chances are less than 10%. Look for a few more steamy days in the low 90s for Tuesday and Wednesday with a major pattern change likely late week. You will even notice more clouds and a better shot for showers the next few afternoons. There's even a low risk for heavy rain that could lead to a bit of street flooding Tuesday with the best shot in the southern half of the area. But the best chance for drought relief will come Thursday through early Friday as our first fall cold front rolls in. Look for 1-2" of rain possible along with some storms. Then we are rewarded with a taste of fall for your weekend plans with cooler temperatures and lower humidity! Enjoy!
