FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast
This is the second day in a row without any heat alerts after a 16 day stretch with them. Thanks to the Saharan dust moving in, drier air has rolled in meaning lower humidity and heat index values. The bad news is that temperatures are still toasty, near 100 for most inland spots today. Look for continued hot temperatures for the rest of this week with highs near 100. We should escape heat advisories for the next few days. But humidity is expected to increase by early next week and heat advisories could return. Rain will be limited through the weekend with only a 10-20% chance for isolated PM showers and storms. There's just one tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic with a 30% chance to become a tropical depression, storm or hurricane over the next week as it moves west.
