FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast
Excessive Heat Warning continues for Houston and most of SE Texas until 8 PM. Then a Heat Advisory will be in effect until 9 PM Saturday. That means we all need to prepare for more scorching temperatures near 100 and heat index values that could be 110+. A big heat dome over west Texas will continue to dominate our weather pattern the next several days making it difficult for any major rain chance. The high may shift enough to allow for isolated rain Sunday through Tuesday. But even then, rain chances are only around 10%. So remember to practice heat safety by limiting time outside during the hottest part of the day and drinking plenty of water. Also remember to look before you lock. Never leave kids or pets in a closed hot car. Make sure to download our FOX 26 Weather App to keep track of the heat wave and any chances for rain!
