Protest ahead of first HISD board meeting since new Board of mangers were appointed

A broad coalition of organizations and residents held a news conference and protest in response to the first meeting of the unelected HISD Board of Managers. The press conference took place outside HISD Headquarters and includes a wide array of local teachers, students, parents, and advocates for public schools and children fighting against the occupation of Houston Public Schools by partisan state officials.
