Houston weather: Mostly sunny and hot Thursday with highs in the low 90s

On this start of Hurricane Season, our local weather couldn't possibly be more quiet. With warm temps and good sunshine, we have another air quality alert for ozone. Today through Saturday, an isolated shower or storm is possible but unlikely mainly in the afternoon with a brief increase in cloud cover. Storms will approach from the northwest overnight Saturday into Sunday, and much of next week features a rainy pattern with on and off storms. An area in the eastern gulf now has medium chances for development with Hurricane Hunters set to investigate it further today. The first name on the list is Arlene, this storm poses no threats to southeast Texas.
