Houston weather: Dry Friday evening but expect rain, storms Mother's Day weekend
Flood Watch is in effect for Jackson, Colorado, Wharton & Matagorda counties from 1a.m. Saturday until 7 p.m. Sunday. An additional 2-3" of rain is possible over the weekend with isolated higher amounts mainly W/SW of Houston. 1-2" can't be ruled out for parts of Houston. So make sure you grab the rain gear before you venture out for weekend plans that might include mom. Heaviest rain will likely fall west of I-45 with a low risk for a few strong to severe storms as well. So stay alert over the weekend and make sure you have the FOX 26 WX App downloaded on your phone for the latest. Unsettled weather continues next week with a shot for showers and storms daily. Temperatures also stay warm through next week with highs in the 80s and plenty of humidity.
