Houston weather: Storms possible Friday evening with temps in the 90s

A few storms are possible this evening and tonight with the best chance again west and NW of the Houston area. Few heavy downpours, heavy rain, a few strong wind gusts and some hail will be possible. Severe weather is expected to remain to our W/NW as storms are expected to weaken as they push into our area tonight. Saturday and Sunday will be hot and humid with temperatures near 90 and heat index values closer to 100. So drink plenty of water and take breaks if you have to work outside. Warm and steamy pattern will continue for the next several days with the chance for showers and storms every afternoon and evening. Storm chances do pick up a bit by the middle and end of next week.
