Wednesday morning Houston-area weather forecast
Look for milder air Wednesday with highs in the middle 70s and some sunshine. Even warmer air returns Thursday with breezy weather and temperatures near 80. The warmer air will be ahead of our next storm system that will bring in spotty rain and a few storms Thursday afternoon. Expect an even bigger round of heavy rain and storms to roll in late Thursday night into Friday morning as a strong cold front moves in. Some parts of SE Texas could pick up 1-2" of rain with this system with isolated higher amounts, especially north. There's also a risk for a few severe storms with the highest threat being farther inland for Houston and areas north. So stay alert Thursday night and Friday and make sure to download the FOX 26 weather app. Also, get ready for a big batch of chilly air that will inundate the area for the weekend!
