Election Contention
In announcing an election "contest" on behalf of incumbent Judge Erin Lunceford, well-known attorney Andy Taylor claimed 80% of the ballot shortages occurring November 8th occurred at precincts considered "Republican strongholds". The lawsuit cites 19 alleged election code violations, including mishandling mail-in ballots. Judge Lunceford, who lost by less than 2800 votes out of more than a million cast, says there are simply too many unanswered questions to concede.
