Alvarez Family Press Conference - August 4, 2022

The Alvarez Family, who lost their 9-year-old daughter Arlene Alvarez during an unprovoked attack on her family as they drove to dinner last year, returned to a ransacked home Saturday night following a family trip to Disney World to cheer up Arlene?s brother. The Alvarez?s home holds a special place in the family?s hearts as they dedicated a shrine to Arlene?s life in the living room entryway. The break-in is not only a senseless violation but prolongs the family?s suffering following the death of their only daughter. It takes a monster to enter a home where the memory of a murdered child is displayed. Earlier this year, someone broke into Arlene?s mom?s car. This family continues to be victims of crimes, and they can?t be alone. As crime rates continue to increase, the Alvarez family wants to urge the community to rally together to bring these preventable crimes to an end.
