Thursday afternoon weather forecast
An end to our three week long heat wave is in sight as much needed rain could hold temperatures in the mid 80s for much of next week. In the meantime, more record or near record heat will remain in place today through Saturday. Today's record high for Galveston is just 87 and that will likely be broken. If it is, it will mark the 10th record high for Galveston this month alone. We have also had 20 days in a row with above normal temperatures and today will make day 21.
